Cats galore

Dear Friends
A very good morning to all of you

This is a card i made for My Favourite Things  Wednesday Sketch Challenge

Materials
Cardstock white and yellow
Washi Tape
Watercolor pencils
Mini Misti

Method
I took a piece of cardstock and folded it in half.  I pasted three pieces of washi tape to add bling to the card. Then i took a yellow piece of cardstock and stamped the Cozy cat cubbies stamp set which was a gift i won from the Cat Hop,using the Mini Misti. Stamping is a real joy with the Misti as you can position your stamps where you want and if the ink is light you can stamp again.[This was a gift from talented designer and my dearest friend Melanie Muenchinger]. I initially stamped using a black ink which is very light.  I colored the stamps using Colleen watercolor pencils[ the colors are nice but sharpening them is a nightmare.]
I stamped the sentiment to a piece of yellow card stock and adhered it to the card using foam squares.

Have a Blessed day

Masculine Card

Dear Friends
Good afternoon.
This is a masculine card.
Materials
Cardstock
Pattern Paper
Sentiment
Ink

Method
Take a piece of cardstock and fold it in half as the base.Take another piece of cardstock about 1/4 inch lesser than the base and paste a pattern paper onto it. Stamp a sentiment and paster it in the middle of the pattern paper. Now adhere that to the base card. I didnt add anything to bling the card as it is a masculine card.

House keeping ideas
Never ink a sentiment direct to a card unless  tested  on a piece of scrap paper. (my scrap papers are offcuts of paper clipped together.)
Keep a bottle of water and rinse the stamps as soon as you use them.
Keep bits and pieces of cardstock and they are useful to stamp the sentiments. (My cardstock pieces are pinned on a clip.)

Have a blessed day

Happy Pawsome Birthday

Dear All
This is my first blog post for the year. Sorry about it.

This is a Birthday day card for a cat lover and my dearest friend.
Method
Cut a square measuring 5 1/2 inches by 9 inches. As i did not have designer papers I cut a square out of card stock and a square out of pattern paper and adhered them together. Then i scored it at 3 inches and 6 inches. After that on the left hand side mark 4 inches and join that at nine inches.snip off the top part. after that fold and crease at the 3 and 6 inches.
Then it is decorating time.
I stamped the sentiment Happy Pawsome Birthday [ The cozy cat cubbies stamp and die set by Art Impressions. It was a gift i won at the Cat Hop organised by Janice. Thank you Janice and Art Impressions.]

on a piece of card stock and adhered using double sided foam squares to give it dimension. Inside on the first panel i took another cat stamp colured and cut it and adhered a butterfly on foam squares for dimension.
I left the second panel empty to write a message. The third panel i stamped using my Misti stamping tool. [It is also a gift from one of the talented designers. Thank You so much] Stamping is a breeze with the misti. I attached two cats and a butterfly using foam squares for dimension.
This is my simple card which i learnt from Lisa Curcio.Thank you Lisa.
Housekeeping hints
Clean your stamps as you use them.
Dont ever keep your ink pads open as it can ruin the card by accident.

Have a wonderful day

Handmade with Love and Gratitude

Hi Friends
A very good morning and may you be blessed always with Good health and Happiness.

These are the completed stationery sets tied with ribbon.

This time i decided to give my best friends handmade gifts. I loved the decision but i started it on the 23of December as i was working until then and it had to be completed by 25 morning.
I decided to make stationery sets complete with greeting cards, note cards, gift tags as well as a notebook and pen. I had cut most of the bases and for one i had pasted the patten paper on to the base and had cut the gift tags too but everything else had to be done from scratch.
I dont keep a lot of cardstock with me as i am getting ready to go and join my daughter in New Zealand. So i ran short of card stock and had to go to a shop and get it together with the thin ribbon for the gift tags.
I love pattern paper and cannot resist the urge to buy if i see them but alas now i have to finish my stock and i got a fine idea.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GpJAcEp8KU It was shared by a blooger pal. So now i am going to cut my pattern paper to small sizes and take the ones which i treasure while the balance will be used on cards and gifts.
The idea for the stationery set is from Maymay madeit. i will link her site so that you can get all the measurements from her. https://www.maymaymadeit.com/blogs/news/stationary-box-gift-set
I made 30 greeting cards with envelopes, 30 note cards and 30 gift tags.
 y
A complete set of greeting cards, note cards and gift tags.

I hope you can see the note book. I decorated it with an image from a pattern paper and attached it to the box using a  ribbon belly band. Even the pen was attached using two ribbon loops in pink. It was attached to the box using liquid glue.

I used dye cuts to decorate the cards. Even the note books were hand made and the pens were decorated with coordinating pattern paper. After finished doing the cards and envelopes i found that it did not fit inside the box and most of them were top folding so i re did them again.
To decorate the cards i used pattern paper.
I even did teh gift bags using pattern paper but unfortunately had forgotten to take pix of it. I used one sheet of paper for each bag.
