Coffee

 A very good afternoon ladies

I made two cards for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. For One card I pasted a foam heart and I adhered the sentiment and the coffee cups onto the heart. I didnt want to add anything as I wanted to focus on the coffee cups.

The second card I created a scene and built up. I adhered a pattern paper onto the card base . Then I adhered another pattern paper to look like the sky.  Then I adhered the family of three critters and the baby critter is holding a coffee cup while mama is holding a baked goodie  the papa is holding an apple. I wanted to take part in the hop but do not have any big stamps or dies of coffee cups as I am a new bee. So sorry about that. But I am thrilled to participate. For a change i adhered the sentiment strip on top and the critters on the bottom.

Products used

Pirates Life pattern paper

card stock

Stamps [unbranded]

Alte new Artist Marker starter set R403 and Y204

I always stamp my sentiments on to a strip of paper before stamping it onto the card as I then know how it stamps. This tip has saved me a lot of good cardstock.

Trifold Notebook

 A very goodmorning ladies

I made a trifold note book uing the instructions of G I Kerr and I am super happy with it. She added a back pocket but I didnt as I wanted it to be different though I learnt it from her. I used two pattern papers for the base ie the front and back and another to make the pockets and the tops of the note books. On one pocket I added a notebook while the other pocket was left empty to put whatever is needed. This can be tucked inside a purse and we women needs lots of notebooks don't you agree. I added a ribbon to keep it all together and it is done. I didnt want to add more bling as I thought it was clean and simple.

Beauty

 A very good afternoon friends

I did not blog the last few days as I am redoing my craft space. I am making all the storage on my own using pattern paper, cardboard and other bits and pieces.I have two reasons for doing it. One is that I want to save all the money to buy crafty goodies and the secind reason is that storage is very expensive in Sri Lanka so decided to do it on my own.

Today's card is very simple. I adhered a blue circle to the white card stock and stamped the sentiment Follow Your dreams which ison another circle, and added one tiny embellishment in white. I stamped the sentiment Never stop dreaming on the inside and viola my card is done.

Tea or Coffee

I made this card by tea staining my background. I learnt a lot about tea staing in the process. I must find some heavy weight cardstock fromSri Lanka. I only have one stamp of a tea cup [as I am a new bee]which I colored using my Twinmarker pen set while the cup cake was colored using the Artist marker starter set byAlteNew. Then I got a cake stand dye from Pink Fresh Studio Sweet Treats and pasted a pattern paper.I cut two more dyes of the cake stand and assembled it together for dimension. I adhered the cake stand and then the cup cake which was also a stamp and my cup using foam squares to give dimension and stamped the sentiment You make life sweeter

Gift card holder

 Good evening Ladies

The completed Gift card holder front

The completed gift card holder back

I made a gift card holder for the StayCrafty with Hero Challenge. It is going to be a gift for my one and only precious grand daughter and i will put a gift card and give her. Until I go to see her it will be in her goodie bag I am collecting for her with her favourite stuff. I used white card stock with a little shine as my base. I decorated it using washi tape and stamps as I didnt want to heat emboss as I am still learning it. She loves hearts and calls them love hearts So I used stamps with hearts and the sentiment strip which says What a beautiful blessing You are to me was stamped onto the belly band. The bunny with the large heart was stamped thrice and coloured and It wasattached to the backof the belly band and i didnt want any decoration as I wanted the focus to be on the teddy bear with the large heart.

Before decorating

With sentiment and decoration

I adhered the teddy bear below the sentiment as I liked it that way.

my little rack

 Good afternoon Friends

I am reorganising my craft space and i know that i need some storage space. I have decided that I will not buy any but make it on my own and save the money to buy some more crafty stuff I need. Yesterday when I was browsing Youtube I saw a video by Treasure Trickz and I was impatient to make it.

Items needed

Cardboard

pattern paper

glue

glue gun

A pair of scissors

A ruler

Measurements

two circles measuring 30 cm

four strips 4cm wide and 22 cm long

four pieces cut to 11cm *6cm

4 pieces cut to 30cm by 11cm

Method

Cover all the pieces in pattern paper except the four pieces measuring 30cm*11cm. Adhere the long strips to the circles. cut a quarter circle from each of the 11cm by 30 cm pieces of cardboard. Then paste the pattern paper. Then adhere them to a circle which will become the bottom. Then adhere the top circle and paste the four pieces cut into 11 by 6 cm. from the 6cm side I reduced about 3 cm. This is my stirage unit and I am super happy as I made it myself. Cost of the project is 45 rupees which is a about 25 cts. In the process i learnt how to cut cardboard with an exacto knife which is very useful in making such projects. As my craft space colours are pink and blue I purchased some flowery pattern papers so that I can use all of it for my organisation. The pictures dont do justice to my little rack as I am a horrible protographer. Sorry about it. I promise I will learn it soon.
